ROOM TO GROW
The TUSDM Vertical Expansion Initiative will add five
floors and approximately 95,000 square feet to the school’s
main campus building at One Kneeland Street in downtown
Boston. The $16 million in funds we are raising for the initiative
plays a critical role in supporting TUSDM’s continued leadership
in the field of dentistry. As part of the largest philanthropic
initiative in the school’s history, donations from our supporters
represent a critical portion of the funds needed to meet the
overall costs of the project, the remainder of which will be paid
for with cash reserves and other resources.
Anyone who has visited the Kneeland Street campus in recent
years knows that our current facility has reached, if not
exceeded, the limits of its capacity. Without the expansion,
TUSDM’s ability to fulfill its mission of compassionate care,
and to retain its stature as a global leader, could be seriously
compromised. Conversely, providing additional space for
outpatient clinical services, teaching, research facilities, classrooms,
offices, and meeting rooms will further our ability to
recruit and retain the world’s finest faculty and most promising
students, and to serve our diverse patient populations.
