PROVOST FELLOWSHIPS
Providing students with opportunities to participate
in some of the most signifcant research opportunities
academia has to offer
Collaboration is vital to education and discovery. At Tufts,
faculty and students are mutually engaged in the search for
knowledge, the quest for innovative solutions, and the promise
of discovery. The Provost Fellowship program was created as a
way to enhance this search. To nurture academic partnerships
of student and mentor, enabling both to follow their passion.
By providing stipend support for the best doctoral applicants,
we allow these future scholars to focus on the most important
aspect of choosing a graduate program—academic excellence.
In addition, the fellowships give students unprecedented access
to faculty, trustees, and the university leadership, enabling them
to learn from new sources, make valuable connections, and
deepen their under standing.
Provost Fellowships provide students with occasion to
participate in some of the most groundbreaking research opportunities
academia has to offer and to learn from some of the
top intellects in the world. They also open the door to a Tufts
education to the best and brightest students who, due to financial
circumstances, might otherwise be unable to attend. Provost
Fellowships are an important, persuasive tool in attracting and
recruiting top doctoral students.
