We believe that active citizenship is only
meaningful if it’s open to everyone.
Our goal is to prepare active citizens for
leadership in a diverse range of communities.
That means we need to enroll students who
reflect those communities —which means,
in turn, that we have an intense interest in
helping Tufts gain the resources to make its
admissions need-blind.
In the realm of civic engagement, Tufts is a pioneer—
and Tisch College is our unique contribution.

change—as they did with the gift that launched the University College of Citizenship
and Public Service, the precursor of today’s Tisch College.
